Quality Control Manager – Construction / Energy Services Location: Washington, DC Type: Direct Hire Openings: Multiple A rapidly growing organization within the energy and infrastructure space is seeking experienced Quality Control Managers to support large-scale construction and energy efficiency projects throughout the Washington, DC area. Position Overview The Quality Control Manager will serve as the on‑site quality lead responsible for ensuring all construction activities meet contract specifications, safety requirements, and company quality standards. This individual will oversee quality planning, inspections, testing coordination, reporting, and compliance across complex mechanical and energy‑focused construction projects. Key Responsibilities Quality Control & Project Oversight Lead on‑site quality control efforts for active construction projects Develop, implement, and manage project Quality Control Plans Conduct ongoing inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements Coordinate third‑party testing, inspections, and material verification activities Maintain all QA/QC documentation, daily reports, and inspection records Construction Compliance & Standards Ensure all construction activities and materials meet established quality standards Partner closely with field teams, subcontractors, and project leadership to maintain compliance Support implementation of energy conservation and infrastructure modernization initiatives Monitor installation quality across mechanical, electrical, structural, and building systems scopes Project Support Assist with project scheduling, estimating, and bid support activities Support commissioning, monitoring & verification activities, and post‑project operational protocols Participate in project planning and technical coordination throughout the project lifecycle Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as a key point of contact on‑site to help ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction Maintain strong communication with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders Qualifications Required 5+ years of experience in Quality Control Management within construction, operations, maintenance, or repair environments Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Strong understanding of multiple construction disciplines, including: Mechanical Electrical Structural Civil Experience working with building systems, including HVAC, controls, lighting, utilities, and electrical infrastructure Proven leadership, problem‑solving, and project coordination abilities Ability to obtain government security clearance as required Highly Preferred Experience supporting energy efficiency or infrastructure modernization projects Background with retrofit or federal/military construction projects USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification/training Familiarity with performance contracting or energy services projects Daily on‑site presence is required in Washington, DC Candidates must be local to the area or open to relocation Occasional shift or evening work may be required depending on project schedules Sponsorship is not available at this time Annual bonus opportunity 401(k) with company match PTO and paid holidays Strong long‑term growth potential within a rapidly expanding organization This role requires an active presence on construction sites and may involve: Standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting equipment/materials Working indoors and outdoors in varying site conditions Navigating active construction environments safely and effectively #J-18808-Ljbffr
