Job Description
The Powder Coater applies high-quality powder coatings to furniture and related products using electrostatic spray equipment and curing ovens. This role ensures a consistent finish, follows established safety protocols, and supports accurate production and inventory tracking through computer and ERP systems in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Apply powder coatings to furniture and other components using electrostatic spray guns to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish.
Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, sandblasting tools, and curing ovens, in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Prepare surfaces for coating, including cleaning, masking, and sandblasting, to ensure proper adhesion and finish.
Inspect coated items for defects, such as uneven coverage, runs, or contamination, and make necessary adjustments or rework to meet quality requirements.
Wear and maintain appropriate protective attire (such as a bunny suit) while working with coating materials and equipment.
Work with a large powder coating machine and associated tools, following operating procedures and safety guidelines.
Use ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) to track production processes, record work performed, and support inventory management.
Perform computer-based tasks including data entry, report generation, and communication with team members and other departments.
Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area to minimize risks and ensure efficient operations.
Stand for extended periods, lift and move heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks as required by the production schedule.
Collaborate with colleagues in manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, and receiving to support smooth workflow and on-time delivery.
Communicate clearly in written and spoken English to report issues, document work, and coordinate with supervisors and team members.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camarillo, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
