Why you'll love this job This role is part of the Premium Guest Services Operations Strategy team within the Customer Experience Division. Supports the successful launch of new lounges and other PGS initiatives across the network by leading operational readiness activities, coordinating training and change management efforts, managing punch-list completion, and driving post-opening stabilization to deliver a seamless opening experience. Specific responsibilities will include: Lead operational readiness activities for new lounge openings, renovations, and system-wide Premium Guest Services initiatives. Coordinate and facilitate readiness meetings, conference calls, and cross-functional workgroups to ensure alignment on project deliverables, timelines, and operational requirements. Serve as the primary liaison between local PGS operations, project teams, Corporate Real Estate, vendors, and business partners during launch and post-opening activities. Manage punch-list items during the transition from project completion to operational ownership, ensuring issues are tracked, communicated, and resolved in a timely manner. Lead the execution of training plans and provide hands‑on support to ensure team members are prepared to operate new facilities, programs, systems, and processes. Partner with business partners and vendors to confirm operational readiness, including equipment, staffing, technology, supplies, and service delivery requirements. Monitor post‑opening performance and facilitate issue resolution to ensure a smooth stabilization period following launch. Ensure all projects and initiatives are implemented in accordance with PGS standards, operating procedures, brand requirements, and safety expectations. Work closely with the PGS project manager and key stakeholders to identify risks, mitigate operational impacts, and support the successful rollout of strategic initiatives across the network. Develop project status updates, readiness reporting, action plans, and executive‑level communications to keep stakeholders informed of project progress and outstanding risks. All you'll need for success Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent experience / training Strong aptitude for problem solving and excellent interpersonal skills The ability to work with minimal supervision and able to make timely decisions independently Strong oral and written communication skills are mandatory Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications Able to travel with short notice (including weekends and holidays) and work long hours (12-14 hours/day) under stressful, varying conditions Anticipate 75% travel with longer stays before and after lounge openings Ability to obtain SITA badges at respective lounge locations What you'll get Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
