Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Every third weekend required | Holiday coverage includes Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care/Progressive Care/Stepdown unit setting
• Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than a general medical-surgical floor
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
• Document patient assessments, care delivered, and clinical outcomes accurately and in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact licensure eligibility
• Current BLS certification required
• Prior experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit setting
• Ability to work every third weekend as part of the regular schedule
• Availability for assigned holiday shifts including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a fast-paced environment
