Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatric Mental Health) - Resident Program Director

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Resident Program Director (0.5 Administrative/0.5 Clinical)
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Resident Program Director duties include but are not limited to:
- Independently provides evidence-based treatment to Veterans with acute or chronic mental illness including use of psychotropic medications, psychotherapy, and other modalities.
- Provides patient and family education on medical/MH conditions, preventive measures, and prescribed treatments.
- Orders and interprets labs, tests, and diagnostic studies.
- Assesses and adjusts the plan of care as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Responsible for the management, structure, and administration of the Advanced Practice Nurse clinical trainee program.
- Develops, implements, and enhances APN clinical education training program.
- Coordinates the clinical educational needs of nurse practitioner students in the Behavioral Health Service.
- Functions as an administrator, educator, and consultant in collaboration with executive leadership, academic partners, interdisciplinary service leaders, and other clinical services/programs at the facility level.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
