We've already launched our pharmacy service that allows people to shop for their pets' medications and supplements online and get them delivered to their doorstep in presorted medication pouches. Now we're focused on continuing to improve that experience while building a suite of new products and services that will make the pet health experience even better.In this role you will be responsible for assisting in the retrieval, processing, and fulfillment of pets' medication therapies. You will also be actively involved in the development and evolution of our operational policies and procedures that guide these core functions. Koala will help you obtain your technician trainee license and set you up for success!Benefits & Perks:Competitive salary of $18/hourlyVacation and Sick timeCompetitive benefits, effective the 1st of the month following hire date!Structured shifts 8:30-5:00 Monday-Friday (weekends off!)Free weekly lunches with the Koala teamWhat you will do:Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsAssist pharmacist in retrieving prescription refills from veterinarian prescribersFollow up with patients as needed to clarify questions relating to and provide updates on their ordersAssist pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacyRun automated machinery required to pre-sort and package medicationsFill exception trays with appropriate medicationWork daily with the Operations team to ensure the right medications are put in the right pouchesTransition orders through different workflow stages from initial dispense through quality controlCount and fill prescription vials and affix labels on bulk prescription itemsPack and ship completed orders including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispenser, shipping boxesSort and triage the right boxes to ship at the right timeAid the Operations team with receiving, shipping, counting, and packingClean, and help maintain, equipment and work areasBasic Qualifications and Skills:Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team memberDemonstrated organization skills and attention to detailAbility to recognize and identify patient medicationsAbility to multitask and prioritize in a rapidly evolving startup environmentExperience working in a fast-paced work environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and qualityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, self-starter capable of working independentlyRequirements:Willingness and ability to obtain a Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy Registered Technician Trainee LicenseHigh school diploma or equivalent6+ months of experience working with computer and web based toolsAbility to lift 50 poundsAbility to stand for an 8 hour shift
