Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.Job Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Vehicle Operational Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and is passionate about delivering high-quality service. You will play a key role in managing vehicle inventory, supporting auction operations, and ensuring effective communication with internal teams and customers.As a Vehicle Operational Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate vehicle records, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring vehicles meet quality standards. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will regularly interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to provide updates, gather information, and ensure program requirements are met. You will also be expected to read, review, and understand the history of an order—including kickback notes—to make informed decisions and verify vehicles on time.Key Responsibilities:Demonstrate proficiency in making real-time phone calls through the recorded line to verify vehicle status with pickup sitesBuild relationship with Manheim Auction commercial team and managementManage email boxes for multiple locations and collaborate on regional emailsEntry of all manual orders and processing of other AS400 system ordersManage escalated Client Succes VINs with peers and agentsMonitor holds and verification delaysDispatch negotiation and a heavy understanding of sales tactics to increase marginAction AutoIMS for Trans Delay Holds, Cancellations, ETA'sFollowing Up with carriers on several VINs dailyProcess Fees and post assessorial charges to recordRequest Hold Harmless/ReleasesInvestigating kickback of VINs by carriers to get units re-dispatchedBe comfortable holding carriers accountable to their planCreate and manage corrective action of a vendorMonitoring order entry failures throughout the day and correctUnderstanding of margin relative to position and some tracking of margin requirementsMonitoring and correcting master data files for location errorsMeasuring performance – understanding analytics for clients and vendorsReport on performance results for high level management and executive leadersCompile vehicle transportation related data and generate reportsFollow all job-related duties as directed by supervisorBe an outside the box thinker who can solve problems quicklyDrug Testing:To be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
