Our vision is to be the greatest infrastructure solutions provider delivering top tier and high-quality design and engineering services to the Federal government.Typical client base includes Department of Defense (DOD), United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) and many private companies in the Federal arena where Black & Veatch frequently teams for project execution in joint venture (JV) roles or utilizes a sub/prime contracting arrangement.Key ResponsibilitiesTimekeeping Administration/ProcessingReview and audit weekly Federal employee timesheets for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company & Federal policiesMonitor timesheet submission and approval deadlines and follow up on outstanding itemsInvestigate and resolve timesheet discrepancies & missing entriesProcess weekly timesheets for Federal professionalsAssist employees with timekeeping system questions and correctionsMaintain records of timesheet adjustments and approvalsServe as a primary point of contact for timekeeping-related inquiriesExpense Report Administration/ProcessingReview of Federal employee expense reports for policy compliance, proper documentation, and approval requirementsReturn reports requiring correction and clearly communicate needed revisions to employeesMonitor aged expense reports and follow up with employees and approvers as necessaryAssist employees with expense reporting system questions and policy interpretationProcess weekly expense reports for Federal professionalsSupport month-end expense accrual and reporting activitiesInteract regularly with Federal professionals, travelers, management, compliance and travel departmentsServe as a primary point of contact for expense report-related inquiriesOther TasksAssist with development and implementation of system enhancementsSupport continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvementCommunicate professionally and effectively with stakeholders at all levelsPreferred QualificationsGovernment Engineering or Construction Industry experienceGovernment Compliance and Regulations experienceOrganizational skillsAttention to detail & accuracyWritten and verbal communications skillsPlanningAction-orientedPeer relationshipsProblem solvingMicrosoft Office Suite, basic Microsoft Excel, intermediateKnowledge of Black & Veatch systems (basic)Basic technical accounting knowledgeBasic knowledge of Financial Statement analysisBasic knowledge of foreign currency terminology and conceptsAssigned to projects for U.S. Government Agency/Department clients.
