Staff Accountant

A well-established, global travel company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing accounting team in Newport Beach. Responsibilities Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and related analysis Maintain and reconcile assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules, including prepaid expense schedules Complete bank reconciliations and assist with cash-related accounting activity Support purchase requisition and expense processes through Concur and other financial systems Serve as a backup resource for expense administration and related accounting workflows Assist with accounts payable functions as needed Provide support during the annual audit process Partner with internal departments and accounting leadership on special projects Help improve processes, reporting, and overall accounting efficiency as the business continues to grow Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close Advanced Excel skills and comfort working within accounting systems Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities #J-18808-Ljbffr Geneva Search Partners LLC
