Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Schedule

Shifts will be from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with 10-hour shifts required. This position may require taking call on weekends and holidays.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room will provide exceptional care for surgical patients across various specialties, including general surgical and critical procedures. The RN must adhere to a strict attendance policy and ensure consistent availability for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Operating Room setting.
• Assist in surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Monitor patient progress before, during, and after surgery.
• Administer medications and manage post-operative care plans.
• Participate in call rotations as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in the Operating Room is required.
• Experience in orthopedic, general, endo-vascular, urgent care, or obstetrical settings is preferred.
• Current Michigan RN license required; verification through LARA and Nursys is necessary.
• BLS (AHA) certification is required.
• A skills checklist completed within the last year for RN specialties is required.
