Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianPro Resources is seeking a 1st and 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician for a client in Fort Wayne, IN. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of manufacturing machinery and systems through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment improvements. This role requires technical expertise to maintain operational and safety standards within the manufacturing environment. Shift and Compensation 1st and 2nd Shift Pay is from 25 USD / hour Job Duties Preventive Maintenance — Regularly scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure smooth operations. Troubleshooting — Quickly diagnosing and resolving machinery issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. Repair – Basic repair of mechanical equipment, knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, conveyors, air lines, etc. Equipment Improvements — Overseeing enhancements and modifications to existing machinery to improve performance and efficiency. Safety Compliance — Ensuring all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and standards to protect workers and equipment. Background Profile 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Experience working with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, air lines, pumps, and other production equipment. Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including reading schematics, is a plus. Welding and fabrication experience is helpful but not required. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the shift. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
