Soni's client is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join their team in Austin, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven AP professional who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and is looking to lead a team while driving process improvements and operational efficiency.


Reporting to accounting leadership, the Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the full AP function, ensure timely and accurate processing, and maintain strong internal controls. The ideal candidate will bring leadership experience, a strong understanding of payables operations, and a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.


Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager:

• Lead, hire, train, and develop the accounts payable team
• Oversee the full AP cycle including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payment processing
• Manage cash disbursements and ensure timely vendor payments
• Review and approve payment runs (checks, ACH, and wire transfers)
• Reconcile AP activity to the general ledger and vendor accounts
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including 1099 reporting
• Support audits, financial reviews, and budgeting processes
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, documentation, and record retention
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors

Requirements of the Accounts Payable Manager:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience with at least 2+ years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and internal controls
• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments
• Proficiency in accounting systems and standard business tools
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing AP in a large or multi-entity environment
• Background in process improvement or system implementations

Compensation:
$90,000 - $100,000
Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
