About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years PACU RN Experience required, preferably in a high acute care hospital, ICU required. License: Valid RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care - Extensive cardiac/cath lab experience preferred Description: The registered nurse provides individualized nursing care based on knowledge of basic competencies in the fundamentals of peri-anesthesia nursing and pharmacology. Care is provided using the nursing process applied to geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge. This position requires knowledge of airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology. Knowledge of doses, purpose, interactions, side effects, and reactions to medications is essential. The ideal candidate should possess skills in end-tidal CO2 monitoring, airway assessment, and IV management. Experience with various surgical procedures, patient assessments, and care protocols is necessary. Ability to handle emergency medications, ventilation, and post-operative care is required. Strong communication and teamwork skills are critical for interdisciplinary support. The candidate should be adept in various nursing competencies within a fast-paced environment.
