Shift/Hours 1st or 2nd Shift Monday through Friday. Hours are flexible based on school schedule. 15 to 40 hours per week. Shift Differential 2nd Shift employees are eligible for a 20% shift differential on top of base pay. Compensation The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $21.00 to $22.00. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors, including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education. Essential Functions – WHAT WE WILL TEACH YOU TO DO Set up and operate computer numerical controls (CNC) on machining centers to fabricate parts. Load parts in the machine, cycle machine and detect malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. Run production lots, communicate with co‑workers regarding productions runs, and maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or engineers. Operate CNC Mills and/or Lathes with knowledge of multiple pallets and work coordinated systems as they apply to existing CNC machines. Perform inspection of machined products and document results. Analyze processes and provide solutions to problems while working on reducing setup and cycle times. Complete and maintain paperwork for parts. Assist in other work areas as needed. Required High School Diploma or equivalent GED Enrolled in 1st year Machine Tool Technology or Automated Systems & Robotics Program Mechanical & Technical capacity Preferred Ability to read blueprints and build to specifications Knowledge of CNC controllers and tools Experience in a manufacturing environment Medical, dental, vision plans which are effective on your hire date.
