Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery for an exciting Travel or Local job in Santa Monica, CA.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients.

• Monitor fetal heart tracings and maternal status throughout labor.

• Care for high-risk obstetric patients and antepartum cases.

• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.

• Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation.

• Support postpartum couplet care when floating to the postpartum unit.

• Collaborate closely with physicians, neonatal teams, and interdisciplinary staff.

• Maintain accurate charting and patient records using Epic.

• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and emotional support during all phases of care.

• Follow hospital policies, infection control standards, and clinical protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

• AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM certification required.

• ACLS (AHA) certification required.

• BLS (AHA) certification required.

• NRP certification required.

• FHM certification required.

• Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients required.

• Strong fetal monitoring and labor management experience required.

• Ability to float to Postpartum as needed.

• Epic charting experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Postpartum couplet care experience.

• Newborn role in delivery experience.

• Previous travel nursing experience.

• Strong critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
