Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Schedule Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS Must-Have: Description: We are looking for an experienced ER RN for this position. We require active RN licensure and verified education. The candidate must possess BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS certifications. The Emergency Room Nurse will work on a night shift schedule. The role may involve working in other emergency department locations. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state practice acts. Documents according to standards of care. Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by a physician and/or clinic policy. Includes patient and family instruction in the care plan. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise and guidance to other departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Employs critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates issues to the chain of command. Participates in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, decisions, and peer review process. Position urgency: Rapid response crisis. Holiday coverage is required.
