Loss Prevention Specialist

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Work as part of a team to ensure safety and mitigate losses daily.
• Usage of CCTV to review potential issues and observe current situations for potential loss problems.
• Approach and apprehend shoplifters per company policies and procedures.
• Assist in ensuring recovery of company assets.
• Helping stores to control shrink through monitoring for compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Other security-related duties as directed by Loss Prevention Supervisor.
• Receive and execute direction in a professional manner.
• This is an hourly position with a varied work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays that require on-site attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, or a minimum of two (2) years of experience in Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement, Military, or Retail Store Management.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to present in a professional manner in both attitude and appearance.
• Ability to make fast decisions during stressful situations.
• Must be goal-oriented and possess a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be willing to undergo a substance abuse screening and background check.
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Food City's West Knoxville, TN geographical areas which include, but not limited to, Hardin Valley, Vonore, Alcoa, Maryville, Deane Hill, and Clinton Highway.
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel between multiple locations.
• Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals daily.
• Ability to attend on-site work during normal business hours, in the typical work week, as well as additional time as needed to fulfill job duties through regular attendance.
