Position Summary A Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. You’ll help people build skills, participate in community activities, and meet daily living needs while promoting choice, dignity, and independence. Responsibilities Support daily living activities (personal care, meal prep, housekeeping, medication reminders per policy) Assist with community outings, social activities, and skill-building goals Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and healthy routines Follow individual support plans and document services accurately Maintain a safe, respectful environment and respond to emergencies as trained Communicate effectively with team members, families/guardians, and supervisors Qualifications High school diploma or GED (required) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred/if role requires driving) Ability to pass background check and required screenings Comfortable assisting with personal care and lifting/transferring as needed Strong communication skills, empathy, and reliability Experience in caregiving, CNA, home health, or human services is a plus—training provided Schedule & Compensation Status: Full-time or Part-time Schedule: Days, evening, weekends, weekends only, evenings only Pay: $15 - $17 per hour, depending on experience Benefits (for eligible employees): Simple 401K, PTO, reimbursed mileage, paid training Why Join Us?
