Job Title: RN - Pediatric ICU
Location: Neptune, NJ
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks (Temp to Permanent)
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours/Week | 3 Days/Week | 3x12 Hours | Every Other Weekend | 3 Holidays Required | No On-Call requirement

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking RN - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU RN) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Neptune, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for pediatric ICU patients
• Monitor and manage critically ill pediatric patients
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions in ICU setting
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Continuously evaluate patient status and respond to clinical changes
• Document all nursing care accurately per standards and acuity levels
• Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary ICU teams
• Advocate for evidence-based pediatric critical care practices
• Provide family-centered care and education
• Float to Pediatric, NICU, and pediatric ER holding units as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year experience in Pediatric ICU or related specialty required
• Strong critical thinking and pediatric assessment skills
• Ability to work in high-acuity, fast-paced ICU environment
• Experience in managing ventilated or critically ill pediatric patients preferred
• ASN (Associate Degree in Nursing) required
• Graduate from accredited nursing program required
• BSN preferred
• BLS (American Heart Association) required
• PALS required
• Telemetry certification required
• New Jersey RN License or Compact State License required
