2026 Salary Range: ($125,776 - $192,331) / Yearly with locality

The primary purpose of this position is to exercise 1st level supervisory and position management responsibilities over subordinate employees within OO-ALC Aerospace Sustainment (O & M). Directs work activities through subordinates with responsibility for maintaining current knowledge and guiding subordinate employees to provide advice, accountability, and expertise on a continuous basis.

The Aerospace Sustainment Directorate (ASD) currently fosters cross-functional product support relationships across Complexes, Centers, and Headquarter entities. ASD ensures command-wide transformation efforts are progressing and ensures organizational transparency through a team approach - evidenced in both supported and supporting relationships. This office is best suited to incorporate strategic planning efforts.

- This may be a designated Drug Testing Position

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable)

- The employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include overtime, and/or days, swings, or owl shifts.

- Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall. Incumbent may be required to report to work during base exercises, contingencies, or emergency situations and overtime/comp time/credit hours may be required to accomplish assigned duties.

- The employee may occasionally travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft IAW Joint Travel Regulations to other government installations, contractor facilities, or other commercial Locations for both training and mission accomplishment.

1. Mastery knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support.

2. Extensive knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures

3. Extensive knowledge of principles and practices of team building, developing interpersonal relationships, maintaining good working relationships, and leading members as a cooperative team.

4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct, mentor, motivate and appraise the staff of a small to medium (or large) sized organization.

6. Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options.

7. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.

8. Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.
