Exciting Opportunity: Experienced RN for Step-Down ICU & ICU Units

Job Description:
- Seeking an experienced RN to join our dynamic Step-Down ICU and ICU teams.
- Must possess strong ICU experience, particularly at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Willingness to float to Step-Down ICU is essential.
- Current IL License, CPR, ACLS & NIHSS certification required.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program - education verification is necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional patient care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures.
- Document care according to established standards and regulations.
- Develop, initiate, and execute patient care plans tailored to individual needs as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy.
- Provide instruction to patients and their families on care protocols.
- Actively participate in department performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
- Offer clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of patients' longitudinal care plans.
- Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, escalating concerns to the appropriate chain of command.
