Clinical Associate, 24 hours/week, evening shift - Float Pool

Job Description: Winchester Hospital is a 5x Magnet designated, Top 10 Massachusetts recognized 223-bed regional hospital that is the leading provider of comprehensive health care services in the northwest suburban Boston area. Schedule: 3, 8 hour evening shifts/week, every other weekend and holiday rotations. Working under the direction of a nurse, the Clinical Associate contributes to the Hospital’s mission by performing basic procedures necessary to provide patients’ care, comfort, and safety. This clinical staff position will have an impact on the quality of care and patient satisfaction by providing for their physical and emotional needs. Responsibilities: Assisting with activities of daily living Repositioning and ambulating patients Making an occupied and unoccupied bed Assisting in transporting patients, beds, supplies and equipment Collecting, labeling and transporting specimens Retrieving and signing out blood products Accurately performs point of care testing Obtains vital signs and weights Maintains accurate intake and output measurements Removes Foley catheters and saline locks Education Required: High school diploma/equivalent is strongly preferred Certifications: BLS – Basic Life Support Must have/be one of the following: Certified Nursing AssistantNursing Student with completion of one medical-surgical clinical rotationThree months of clinical care experienceSuccessful completion of the Winchester Hospital: Clinical Associate Training Program (CATP) Other Skills/Knowledge: Required: For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team Preferred: Basic computer skills Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) is an integrated health system dedicated to creating healthier communities — one person at a time — through seamless care and ground-breaking science, driven by excellence, innovation and equity. Pay Range: $19.50 - $26.24 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
