Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide outpatient physical therapy services to patients under the supervision of a licensed therapist. Assist in implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and maintaining patient care standards in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed therapists in administering therapeutic interventions and exercises.
• Document patient progress and treatment sessions accurately in electronic health records.
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, verifying RTO, birthdate, and social information as required.
• Ensure recent experience in the unit specialty within the last three months.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice.
• Possess a High School diploma or GED; Associate's or Technical Degree preferred.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Have at least one year of relevant experience; two years preferred.
• Prefer experience working with electronic medical records systems like EPIC.
