Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides critical care and emergency nursing services in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting, ensuring timely assessment and intervention for high-acuity patients. Collaborates with a small, dedicated team to deliver patient-centered care while maintaining safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly and accurately to determine priority and necessary interventions.
• administer emergency treatments including airway management, wound care, and medication administration.
• Monitor cardiac and vital signs, respond to codes, and support resuscitation efforts.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, unlicensed staff, EMS, and team members to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of clinical activities and compliance with unit policies.
• Adhere to all hospital and departmental safety, policy, and procedural standards.

Qualifications:

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications required.
• Active RN license with at least one year of emergency or critical care experience.
• Strong clinical judgment, triage skills, and ability to work independently in a small team.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to collaborate effectively.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) and Meditech EMR experience preferred.
• Experience with Point of Care testing and FSED environments is a plus.
