About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating shifts, 12 hours Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Prior ICU experience - BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications - Ability to titrate drips Description: This is an ICU position with a total of 8 beds. Nurse to patient ratio is 3:1. RNs are required to titrate drips. Common patient diagnoses include cardiac and neurology cases. A charge nurse is present on each shift and accepts a patient assignment. There are no nurse aids or patient care techs on this unit. Clientist and/or intensivist are available in-house 24/7. Respiratory therapy is available for ventilator management as needed. RNs are responsible for interpreting cardiac rhythms. The tele monitors used are Nihon-Kohden. Shifts include 7AM to 7PM and 7PM to 7AM. Weekend requirements include every other weekend. Holiday requirements include every other holiday. There are no call or standby requirements. No floating requirements exist. Scrub color and dress code are flexible. The number of shifts for unit-specific orientation varies based on experience. Cancellation policy allows for 2 shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting system utilized is MEDITECH. BSN is not required.
