About the Role

Identify Security is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Manager for a confidential global enterprise.

This role requires a technically credible security leader who can manage cybersecurity operations, lead analysts and engineers, oversee incident response, and drive measurable risk reduction across infrastructure, cloud, and application teams.

The ideal candidate has progressed from hands-on cybersecurity engineering or operations into leadership while maintaining strong technical judgment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of cybersecurity analysts and engineers supporting global security operations.
• Oversee threat detection, incident response, escalation, and security monitoring.
• Manage enterprise vulnerability management, risk prioritization, remediation tracking, and control validation.
• Drive remediation across infrastructure, cloud, application, and business teams.
• Oversee SIEM, EDR, email security, identity, firewall, and cloud security capabilities.
• Manage MSSP relationships, vendor performance, and security technology effectiveness.
• Establish security metrics, KPIs, and executive risk reporting aligned with NIST CSF.
• Support security governance, compliance, third-party risk, and security awareness initiatives.
• Partner with IT and application teams on Azure security, architecture reviews, and secure development practices.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Direct experience managing enterprise security operations and incident response.
• Demonstrated ownership of vulnerability management and remediation across multiple technical teams.
• Strong technical understanding of SIEM, EDR, IAM, network security, and cloud security.
• Experience leading cybersecurity analysts or engineers.
• Experience managing MSSPs and security technology providers.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
• Ability to translate technical security risks into business priorities and measurable outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 security.
• Rapid7, CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, Cisco Umbrella, or equivalent technologies.
• Third-party risk management program development.
• Application security, SDLC, and AI governance.
• Global or distributed enterprise environments.
• CISSP, CISM, CISA, or relevant cloud security certifications.

Right Fit vs. Wrong Fit

Strong Fit: A cybersecurity operations or security engineering leader who has managed technical teams, directed incident response, driven vulnerability remediation to closure, and demonstrated measurable improvements in enterprise security posture.

Not the Right Fit: A GRC-only manager, SOC monitoring manager, security architect, or cloud/AppSec specialist without broader enterprise security operations, remediation ownership, and people leadership experience.
