Job Description Coordinate, Develop and implement practice plan Drive student athletes to practices and Meets Travel to Cross Country and Track & Field Meets Coordinate, and Develop strategic strategies for Distance & Cross Country Athletes Maintain CARA Logs for Distance Athletes Participate in recruiting distance prospects Ability to communicate the standards and uphold expectations of the program Minimum Qualifications

CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER

Bachelor’s degree USATF Cross Country Specialist USTF Level 1 coach or Similar certification 2 or more years of paid coaching experience Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with the University’s vehicle use policy Preferred Qualifications One year or more coaching experience as High School or College Coach Familiar with managing/ administration of NCAA rules and regulations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of recruitment practices. Knowledge of social media analytics, social media publishing tools, web analytics, and tracking technologies. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suites Coordination and Facilitation of Student Athlete Meetings and Academic supervision Knowledge of Mid Distance and Distance Training. Skill in managing effective communication for a group of Student Athletes Implement and develop effect training plans for Mid Distance and Distance athletes Implement and Develop communication for practice plans, travel and academic information Ability to develop and execute Mid Distance, Distance and Cross Country workouts Additional Applicant Information Physical Requirement/ Demands Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see, and hear to perform essential functions. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 30 pounds. Demonstrate ability to drive vans for Travel Meets that are required for meets Prolonged standing at athletic contests and events.
