Utilities Engineer

Overview Mentor Technical Group (MTG) provides a comprehensive portfolio of technical support and solutions for the FDA-regulated industry. MTG is a world leader in life science engineering and technical solutions with offices in Caguas, PR, Boston, MA, and San Francisco, CA, serving life sciences clients in six global markets: United States, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Germany, Canada, and South America. Responsibilities Provide technical expertise in the following systems: heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems used to control temperature, air quality, and humidity in manufacturing buildings. Responsibilities may include conducting load calculations, selecting equipment, ensuring energy efficiency, and overseeing installation and maintenance. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs), troubleshoot problems, and collaborate with construction teams. Collaborate with technical teams to integrate systems seamlessly into the overall building operation. Incorporate energy-saving strategies and ensure systems comply with energy efficiency standards and environmental regulations. Supervise the installation and commissioning of new systems. Diagnose and resolve issues with existing systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Develop maintenance schedules and protocols for existing systems. Conduct system tests and validation to confirm proper operation. Prepare detailed reports, cost estimates, and project documentation. Provide guidance and technical support to maintenance and operations personnel. Ensure all systems adhere to safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations.
