Planer Mill Infeed Forklift Operator

The Planer Mill Infeed Forklift Operator will be responsible for loading material from dry shed to the infeed of the tilt hoist.

Responsible for operating infeed forklift and maintaining proper housekeeping.

Optimize loading for efficient production.

Ensure products meet quality specifications.

Willing to work any shift including weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed.

Commitment to safety.

Excellent attendance record.

Good communication skills.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to learn and adapt to change.

Ability to adhere to all safety policies and regulations including wearing safety equipment.

Ability to work in noisy environment.

Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.

Ability to work from elevated positions using required safety gear and procedures.

Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for extended periods of time.

Able to work in a variety of environmental conditions.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Experience:

Driving and operating a mobile equipment such as front end loader, skid steer or forklift within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Basic computer skills.

Experience working in lumber or wood products industry and/or manufacturing.

Experience troubleshooting equipment.

Sawmill experience preferred.
