Project Work: Please note that two Project Manager 3 postings are now available with the same manager. These posting are for two different projects and therefore are looking for different work experiences. Posting 165010 is to support MDOTs Automate Vehicle Location Global Positioning System and Road Weather Decision Support System. The candidate in this role will be working on RFP work and should have a strong background with RFP projects.

-5+ years of experience resolving complex, high-priority conflicts and competing requirements (Required)

-5+ years of experience applying Project Management principles, methodologies, and best practices (Required)

-5+ years of experience with system development methodologies for building new systems and enhancing existing information systems (Required)

-5+ years of experience communicating stakeholder needs clearly and effectively (Required)

-5+ years of experience analyzing data, identifying problems, and developing actionable solutions (Required)

-5+ years of experience communicating across teams, building consensus, facilitating working sessions, and negotiating outcomes (Required)

-5+ years of experience managing stakeholder relationships, maintaining positive interactions, and resolving issues (Required)

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

-Previous experience working in a government or public sector environment is preferred

-Experience in multiple relevant roles (e.g., Project Manager, Program Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar leadership/support roles) is preferred

-Any professional Project Management Certificates (PMP, CAPM, PfMP, etc.)

Clear and concise written and verbal communication is crucial to success and productivity in this role.

Job Summary:

This position provides oversight, leadership, accountability and project management functions for large strategic projects and programs with high visibility at the Agency Executive level. These projects and programs require a fully dedicated project manager due to the level of complexity, degree of intricate detail and accountability to executive leadership.
