Position: Financial Analyst







Location: Miami, FL, strongly prefers local/onsite Brickell, flexibility for the right candidate for remote

• Ideally working with the POS system Vori, but if not, working with perishable/expiration dates
• Strong financial modeling, including margins, pricing, forecasting and business analysis

Most important:

• POS/master data management: SKUs, COGS, pricing, vendors, customers, item setup and price changes
• Experience working with retail/grocery POS data ; they currently use Vori
• Strong financial modeling, including margins, pricing, forecasting and business analysis
• Advanced Excel + BI/dashboard experience
• SQL/data manipulation
• Technical aptitude, including coding and AI/LLM tools
• Ability to maintain accurate data between POS, website, app and e-commerce channels
• Strong communication , as their work will be used by leadership and potentially board/investors
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small, startup environment
• Grocery experience, especially understanding weighted items, inventory/obsolescence and frequent price changes
• Restaurant, food/beverage or other retail experience

Big plus:

• Python/JavaScript or similar
• App/e-commerce implementation, QA or ongoing support
• Loyalty/membership experience
• Experience working with external developers/vendors

They already have 7,000 8,000 loyalty members signing up through the POS, and the mobile app/e-commerce platform is currently out for developer RFP. Development could begin around mid-October, so Mike would like this person involved as early as possible.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We're looking for a data-driven, technically fluent Analyst to serve as the operational and financial backbone of the business, owning point-of-sale master data integrity, building and maintaining the executive BI dashboard, supporting our forthcoming digital commerce/membership app, and driving the financial models that inform growth decisions across every revenue channel.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

POS & Master Data

Own Vori POS master data maintenance: SKUs, COGS, pricing, and vendor records

Ensure data accuracy and consistency across items, categories, and vendor terms; audit and clean data on a recurring cadence

Manage new item setup, pricing changes, and promotional pricing workflows

Business Intelligence & Reporting

Maintain and evolve the executive BI dashboard (data sources, refresh logic, KPIs, visualizations) Prepare weekly management reporting and periodic board presentation materials - sales, margin, labor, and channel performance

Translate raw operational data into clear, decision-ready narratives for leadership

Digital Commerce / App Support Nude Miami

Own product catalog, content, pricing, and analytics for the forthcoming digital commerce/membership application

Ensure harmonization between point-of-sale and the mobile app - consistent SKUs, pricing, and product data across both

Assist with implementation, staff/user training, and day-to-day maintenance of the platform

Coordinate between vendors/developers and internal stakeholders on app-related data and content needs

Financial Modeling & Analysis

Build and maintain complex financial models in Excel, including growth scenarios across multiple revenue channels (retail, catering, digital/app, membership, future locations)

Support budgeting, forecasting, and unit-economics analysis

Model pricing, promotional, and margin scenarios to support commercial decisions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

2 5+ years in FP&A, business analytics, retail/restaurant operations analytics, or similar

Advanced Excel skills - complex models, scenario/sensitivity analysis, dashboards, pivot-based reporting Working proficiency with AI tools (e.g., Claude) for analysis, reporting, and "vibecoding" / AI-assisted build workflows

Strong attention to detail with master data (SKU/COGS/pricing/vendor) management

Comfortable working directly with POS systems (Vori or similar retail/grocery POS a plus)

Excellent written and visual communication skills - able to prepare board- and executive-level materials Highly organized, self-directed, comfortable in a fast-moving, hands-on small-company environment

PREFERRED / BIG PLUS

Experience writing code (Python, JavaScript, or similar) and integrating tools/data sources via APIs

Experience with BI/dashboarding tools (e.g., Google Sheets/Looker Studio, Power BI, or custom HTML/JS dashboards)

Familiarity with SQL or data manipulation for pulling/cleaning data from POS or app backends

Experience supporting an app launch or digital product (implementation, QA, training materials)

Background in food/beverage, CPG, grocery, or wellness retail

Experience with membership/subscription business models and multi-channel revenue analysis
