Job Overview Assist in the continued development of the limited representation program and help represent clients under the supervision of a Help Center attorney. Essential Functions Provide limited same-day legal representation to tenants in eviction court under the supervision of a Help Center attorney. Draft written pleadings, prepare for hearings and otherwise resolve eviction related issues. Assist with outcome tracking. Draft and improve model pleadings. Prepare self-help materials to assist self-represented litigants understand the law, court processes and litigate their cases. Work to identify solutions to address systemic issues faced by self-represented litigants. Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time Required Education Bachelor's Degree Registration for the July 2026 Ohio Bar Examination. Required Trainings/Certifications Legal Intern Certificate as provided by Rule II of the Ohio Supreme Court Rules for the Government of the Bar of Ohio. Required Experience At least one (1) semester of externship and/or volunteer experience working with tenants in need of eviction representation Additional Qualifications Considered Experience and/or demonstrated skill development in trial advocacy and negotiation. A demonstratable commitment to serving underserved and vulnerable individuals. Experience building community partnerships. Foreign language abilities. Physical Requirements/Work Environment Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
