Required Skills:

• NY State Physician Assistant License (Active and Valid)
• AHA BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years recent, hands-on experience in surgical patient care
• Proficiency in surgical procedures such as wound cauterization, suturing, vessel packing, and hemostasis
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations and adapt quickly to evolving clinical needs

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Prior exposure to general surgery, OB/GYN, and orthopedic patient management
• Ability to assist with surgical floor rounding and documentation
• Familiarity with automated medication dispensing systems (Pixys)

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Certified Physician Assistant with active NY State license
• At least 2 years of recent surgical assistance or perioperative experience
• Proven track record of providing high-quality, patient-centered care

Other Requirements:

• Availability to start on July 27, 2026, with full relocation support between August 21-28, 2026
• Flexibility to work shifts including 4x10-hour days, 4-5 shifts per week, weekend calls, and weeknight call duties
• Willingness to participate in surgical first assist roles and medical-surgical floor coverage
• Complete compliance with dress code, hospital policies, and safety standards
• Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate within a multidisciplinary team

This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $148.20, with weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits, paid sick time, and reimbursements for licensure, certifications, travel, and other expenses.
