Salary: $52,000 - 52,000 per year Requirements: Hands-on experience in IT support, help desk operations, desktop support, or a related technical role; the posting specifies at least one year of help desk experience. Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, common business applications, computer hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting. Practical understanding of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches, and wireless networks. Ability to troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and Outlook issues. Strong communication and customer service skills, including explaining technical issues to nontechnical users. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced setting. Dependable, organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively; able to research unfamiliar problems and work through challenges with minimal supervision. Willingness to learn new technologies and follow established processes. Valid drivers license and authorization to work in the United States. A degree in Information Technology, relevant industry certifications, or equivalent hands-on IT experience. Preferred: 2–4 years of professional IT support or troubleshooting experience, or experience with a Managed Services Provider. Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Server, RMM and ticketing systems, business networks, firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, cybersecurity practices, or dental and healthcare technology. Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Endpoint Administrator (MD-102), Cisco CCNA, or equivalent credentials. Dental software experience is not required; we provide training on the specialized systems our clients use. Responsibilities: Provide professional, timely technical support remotely and occasionally at client locations, using phone, email, and remote support tools. Independently diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity problems. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices. Support Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive. Troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and VPN connections. Manage user accounts, password resets, permissions, and general system administration tasks. Install, update, and troubleshoot industry-specific software, independently or with third-party vendor support. Record troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and client communications in our Halo PSA ticketing system. Monitor client systems and respond to alerts and potential technical issues. Follow cybersecurity practices and procedures to safeguard client systems and sensitive information. Work with senior technicians to resolve complex technical issues. Contribute to IT projects such as workstation deployments, network upgrades, software migrations, and infrastructure improvements. Deliver a positive customer experience and communicate professionally with clients. Our team works with Windows workstations and servers, networking equipment, cybersecurity solutions, cloud services, and specialized dental software. This is a full-time, primarily in-office role in Murfreesboro, with regular hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. With management approval, remote work may be available on Fridays. The position includes an on-call rotation approximately once every six weeks, with typically 2–3 calls during an assigned week, and occasional travel to client locations; business travel expenses are reimbursed under company policy. Pay is $25–$28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
