The California Conservation Corps (CCC) is seeking a dynamic, resourceful, and community-minded professional to join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic for our brand-new, state-of-the-art Greenwood Residential Center! This is a unique, ground-floor opportunity to be part of the foundational team opening a brand-new facility from scratch, allowing you to establish new maintenance shops, set up facility safety protocols, and build a vibrant center culture from day one. In this pivotal role, you aren't just troubleshooting equipment, you are an essential pillar of support for our core mission. Under the general direction of the Administrative Officer at the Greenwood Center, you will diagnose and repair complex building systems, draft project scopes of work, and manage our center's vehicle fleet. Most importantly, you will work closely with a diverse group of young adults (our Corpsmembers), providing a unique opportunity to act as a professional mentor, teaching valuable hands-on trade skills, assigning daily tasks, and helping them develop the technical and professional skills they need to succeed in their future careers.
