Position Overview Licensed Veterinary Technician – Cardiology Location: Lynnwood, WA Schedule: Alternating weeks – Wednesday to Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.; Monday to Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Full‑time Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle (Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner) is a 24‑hour emergency, critical care, and specialty hospital that provides comprehensive client service. The Cardiology team is growing and is looking for a licensed VET with a strong interest in echocardiograms, EKGs, thoracic radiographs, Holter monitor placement, and an understanding of genetic and acquired cardiac disease, as well as interventional medicine. Key Responsibilities Support veterinarians in delivering high‑quality veterinary care, advocating for pets, and educating clients. Assist with surgeries, procedures, and other patient care activities while maintaining a clean, sterile, and organized environment. Communicate with clients about health concerns and care options, including Thrive Membership, medications, and additional treatments. Maintain thorough medical records using the practice system and obtain client health history. Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and help manage patient flow. Guide, mentor, and support team members as needed. Qualifications & Experience Licensed veterinary technician (required). 1–2 years of clinical experience (cardiology experience is a bonus). Must have anesthesia experience. Experience with echocardiograms, EKGs, thoracic radiographs, and Holter monitor placement; knowledge of genetic and acquired cardiac disease; interest in interventional medicine.
