Conduct thorough inspections of OSTDS installations for compliance with current codes and statutes. Perform re‑inspections of facilities as scheduled. Maintain and update data systems utilized for program management. Review permit applications, identify environmental impacts with associated activities, assist in the resolution of environmental issues, and draft proposed agency action. Investigate complaints and prepare reports, legal notices, logs photos and other documents. Draft appropriate correspondence for compliance and enforcement action. Perform related work as required. Serve as Information Custodian, maintaining information in accordance with state and federal statutes, rules, regulations and Department of Health Security policy 3 and associated protocols and procedures as it relates to information custodian delegation of authority; this responsibility is to be adhered to 100% of the time. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of the terminology, principles and analytical techniques of the physical or natural sciences. Knowledge of data collection and analysis principles and procedures. Ability to collect, evaluate, analyze and interpret scientific or technical data. Ability to prepare reports. Ability to use personal computers. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to environmental programs. Ability to understand and follow legislative policy direction as established in Florida statutes. Ability to deal with the public in a tactful and courteous manner. Ability to work independently. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to use problem solving techniques. Qualifications A current, valid Florida driver’s license or a valid driver’s license from another state. Able to work in the Florida environment that is subject to field work exposed to sun and heat. At least 6 months’ experience with computers or tablets for data entry. Willing to travel to various locations in Osceola County. Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Willing to perform emergency duties before, during, or beyond normal business hours and/or day in the event of an emergency, disaster, or threat of disaster, man‑made or natural. Current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Willing to physically come into the office daily and perform field work.
