Overview
NICU Registered Nurse (Level II) - Travel Assignment in Olympia, WA. Start date 06/23/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,741-$1,844 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 3x12 rotating (primarily days with some night coverage). Work setting: short-term acute care hospital with a Level II NICU unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide NICU nursing care for neonates around 32 weeks gestation or younger, with stabilization and ongoing monitoring
- Manage respiratory support including CPAP, HFNC, and short-term intubation as needed; administer respiratory therapies
- Initiate and manage IV therapy, IV antibiotics, EPIVs, UAC/UVC placement, and IV Starts (VAT backup)
- Administer total parenteral nutrition (PPN) and lipids; support feeding via bottle, breast, or gavage
- Monitor vital signs, thermoregulation, phototherapy for hyperbilirubinemia, and care for NOWS/NAS and neonatal sepsis concerns
- Document care in Epic; participate in rounds and collaborate with interdisciplinary team; adhere to 3:1 patient ratio expectations
- Follow unit protocols for neonatal resuscitation, sepsis screening, and stability of transfers within the NICU

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state; pending licenses accepted with quick-start preferred
- Certifications: BLS and NRP required
- Experience: minimum 2 years NICU experience; travel experience required; 3:1 patient ratio experience noted
- Additional: ability to float to Postpartum (stable couplets) and to Pediatrics (bili/feeder-grower/FTT) with orientation; all requested time off must be listed with submittal
- Locational restrictions: locals within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for travel contracts
- Orientation and pre-start: 12-hour orientation; pre-start modules average ~16 hours (non-billable)
- References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years (can include Charge RN/Lead)
- Charting: Epic
