Job Title: Sr Associate, Logistics (Shipping) 
Location: East Providence, RI 02914
Duration: Temp to Perm 
Shift: 1st Shift M-F 7:30am-4pm

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily outbound shipping activities for domestic and international shipments to ensure timely, accurate delivery.
• Prepare and manage all required international shipping documentation, commercial shipping invoices, packing lists, and required certifications (e.g., certificates of origin, certificates of conformance).
• Coordinate documentation and shipment details with freight forwarders and carriers to support export declarations, AES filings, customs clearance, and delivery execution.
• Communicate directly with carriers and freight forwarders to arrange pickups, monitor transit, resolve delays, and track late-day shipments and late carrier pickups.
• Distribute and prioritize shipping workload throughout the day to meet operational deadlines and departmental objectives.
• Work closely with Shipping, Customer Service Group, Sales, Trade Compliance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure order accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable U.S. and international shipping regulations.
• Maintain accurate daily shipping logs, documentation retention, and records to support audits and performance tracking.
• Monitor carrier responsiveness and performance; escalate issues as necessary.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in shipping, logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations, with exposure to domestic and international shipping processes.
• Prior experience preparing international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and export-related certifications.
• Working knowledge of freight forwarding, carrier coordination, customs clearance, and export compliance requirements.
• Experience using ERP systems (such as SAP) and shipping software (e.g., UPS, FedEx, or similar platforms).
• Familiarity with U.S. export regulations and basic international trade compliance concepts.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast?paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong working knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes, including exports, customs clearance, and trade compliance.
