Senior Superintendent

Responsibilities The Senior Superintendent is responsible for field operations on the project(s) assigned and ensures the project/area is constructed in a safe, timely, profitable and ethical manner, in accordance with contract documents, design, budget, and schedule and in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. He/she directly supervises field craft labor and non-craft field personnel. Required Qualifications 8+ years actively creating a Safety and QA/QC culture 5+ years in a top leadership position for multiple projects 15+ years of building and construction experience (NYC: knowledge of the DOB’s technical reports and Chapter 33) 15+ years experience scheduling and prioritizing activities 10+ years experience identifying and dealing with risk & mitigation procedures Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop talent Proven experience stepping into a problem project and quickly identifying problem areas or concerns and setting direction for correcting the issue Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar, or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 10 years prior relevant experience Investment in You We believe that benefits should connect you to the support you need when it matters most, and should help you care for those who matter most As a Skanska community, our values ground us, and our diversity of experience propels us forward.
