Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (9:00 AM – 9:30 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients ranging from pediatric (6 months) through geriatric populations in a 16-bed PACU unit
• Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR (required)
• Fulfill weekend requirements of one weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday) and on-call as needed, up to one 12-hour shift per week
• Float to sister units as needed to support staffing, including an on-campus surgery center as case volume shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license – Virginia State License or Compact License required
• Minimum 2+ years of Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU RN experience
• ACLS certification (AHA only) required
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• PALS certification (AHA only) required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong IV access skills
• Critical care level experience
• Experience in a Level 2 Trauma environment
