Premier Veterinary Group - Mundelein is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6‑9 month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable. Overview The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to clinical knowledge and skills, the program focuses on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration. The program utilizes a hybrid training approach that combines simulation‑based didactics with authentic training experiences alongside live patients. The curriculum is evidence‑based and identifies competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician. A team of experienced ER DVMs in a positive and fun culture Solid, fully‑staffed support team Ability to perform surgery (not required) Canine and feline, with some exotics if preferred Location 1 hour north of Chicago and 1 hour south of Milwaukee, without the high cost of big city living Program Duration and Commitment 6‑9 month training program ideally beginning June2026 (can accommodate preferred start date) 12‑month commitment as an ER clinician following training Locations Home site: Premier Veterinary Group – Mundelein, 1385 Townline Rd., Mundelein, IL60060 Training site: Premier Veterinary Group – Chicago, 3927 W Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL60618 (if training at Chicago) Program Highlights 5‑day work week: 4 clinical days, 1 didactic day, and 2 days off each week Training at Chicago includes rotations with Emergency, Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Radiology, and Neurology Always work with a dedicated mentor Daily rounds Mentorship tailored to individual needs Competency‑based curriculum with asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual rounds Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors Work alongside talented Emergency Veterinarians Work Authorization Work authorization in the United States is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, but candidates eligible for TN status may be considered.
