Adaptive Curriculum Special Education Teacher – Oxford, NC

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher with an Adaptive Curriculum certification to join a supportive school team in Oxford, NC for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a great opportunity for an experienced educator to work with elementary students in an ECS (Exceptional Children Services) classroom setting.

Position Details

• Start Date: October 1, 2026
• End Date: May 21, 2027
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Grade Level: Elementary
• Classroom: ECS / Adaptive Curriculum
• Caseload: No more than 10 students
• Certification: Adaptive Curriculum certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction based on students' individual needs and IEP goals
• Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the Adaptive Curriculum
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with related service providers, families, and school staff
• Support students' academic, behavioral, communication, and functional development
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate educational plans

Qualifications

• Valid North Carolina Adaptive Curriculum Special Education license/certification
• Previous experience working with students with moderate-to-severe disabilities preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
