The Membership Specialist at Girl Scouts of Western Washington (GSWW) is responsible for converting prospective members into registered girl and adult members/volunteers through direct engagement and support. This role manages the placement, movement, and accuracy of volunteer and associated family data within GSWW's customer relationship management (CRM) system. The Membership Specialist also supports Council initiatives related to member placement, troop formation, and ongoing membership engagement across the Council region. This is a regular, full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt position that requires residency in Washington State, preferably within our Council region of Western Washington. Work can be conducted remotely, but successful candidates must be willing and able to come into a GSWW office or alternative worksite as needed or when requested. While the full pay range for this position is $23.08 to $28.85 per hour, this position will start at $23.08 per hour for purposes of internal pay equity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs specific tasks to connect youth, families, and volunteers to Girl Scout opportunities by using email and telephone communication to help households complete the membership registration process.
• Regularly engages with prospective members to gather required information, identify opportunities for involvement, process payments, and support volunteer qualification steps.
• Utilizes Salesforce to track, manage, and analyze member and prospective member interactions and data throughout the membership lifecycle.
• Maintains data integrity by ensuring accurate, complete, and timely entry and updates of member and volunteer information in Salesforce.
• Uses reports and dashboards in Council systems to monitor, place, and identify opportunities for girls and volunteers.
• Follows up with leads generated by digital recruitment, events, and other recruiting activities.
• Supports Community Development Managers with the placement and building of new Girl Scout troops.
• Upholds GSWW's customer service philosophy and follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality customer service and data accuracy.
• Actively communicates with teams across the Membership Department to help facilitate the formation of new troops and the placement of youth members and adult volunteers in all programming opportunities.
• Meets regularly with the Supervisor to review and plan for additional membership conversion.

Education and Experience Required

• One year of experience in recruiting or sales
• Strong computer and data entry skills Microsoft Office proficient
• Experience working in or with youth-serving organizations
• Experience working with volunteers

Education and Experience Preferred

• Experience in data management using sales/customer management software (Salesforce) preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Other Qualifications

• Must reside within Washington State, with preference of residence within our Council region of Western Washington.
• Valid Washington State driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, proof of insurance and the ability to fulfill travel requirements across widespread regional geography as necessary.
• Satisfactory results from criminal background search
• Willingness to maintain Girl Scout membership
• Must be willing and able to come into a Girl Scouts of Western Washington office or alternative worksite as needed or when requested
