Location: Brighton, MA
Position Type: Part-Time Residential Security
Schedule: Friday & Saturday
Shift: Evening / Overnight  | 7:00 PM – 4:00 AM
Pay Rate: $19.00–$21.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

Signal of New England is seeking a dependable, professional, and observant Security Officer to provide security services at a residential property in Brighton, MA.

This position is ideal for an individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe environment, providing excellent customer service, and proactively identifying potential security concerns. The officer will primarily perform exterior foot patrols, monitor property activity, control access during off-hours, and serve as a visible security presence for residents, guests, and contractors.

The successful candidate must be reliable, comfortable working independently overnight, and able to remain alert throughout the entire shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine foot patrols around the interior/exterior of the property
• Maintain visibility in the building and parking lot to deter suspicious or unwanted activity
• Ensure no unauthorized individuals enter the building during off-hours
• Monitor and log the entry/exit of contractors during active work periods
• Provide accurate, timely incident reports and updates as needed
• Maintain communication with supervisors and other personnel as required

• Conduct routine interior and exterior foot patrols of the property, including parking areas and common spaces.
• Maintain a highly visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity and promote resident safety.
• Monitor building access and prevent unauthorized entry during off-hours.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, maintenance issues, or policy violations.
• Monitor contractor access, verify authorization, and maintain accurate entry/exit logs during scheduled work periods.
• Respond professionally to resident, guest, and client concerns.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and shift documentation.
• Maintain consistent communication with supervisors and management.
• Follow all company policies, client procedures, and post orders.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of security experience, especially in access control or screening roles
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to remain on foot for extended periods and conduct frequent patrols
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to intake information quickly and report incidents clearly and concisely
