Michigan Surgical – Full-Time RN Position (ASC Infection Control & Quality Specialist) Schedule: Monday through Friday 40–42 hours per week End time: 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM Michigan Surgical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team in a full-time role focused on Infection Control and Quality. Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan required Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an outpatient or ambulatory surgery center setting Strong background in Infection Control and Quality initiatives required Team-oriented with strong leadership skills Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment Position Overview: This role supports the development, implementation, and oversight of infection prevention and quality improvement programs within the ASC. The RN will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote patient safety, regulatory compliance, and best practices across the surgical center. SUMMARY

The ASC Infection Control and Quality Specialist, RN assists the Director with collecting data and other necessary information to maintain accuracy of the program. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Development and implementation of evidence-based interventions designed to reduce and eliminate the risk for Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) and/or disease transmission. Develops and conducts the ASCs Infection Control/Prevention Program Planning addressing risks for the acquisition and transmission of infectious agents and establishing priorities/setting goals and strategies accordingly including but not limited to auditing and data collection. Completes Infection Control needs assessment, development, presentations, and evaluation of educational sessions relating to topics including infection prevention & control, emerging infectious diseases, new initiatives, and regulatory affairs. Assist with Quality assurance and process improvement initiatives. Assist with providing and monitoring in-services on new equipment/procedures to staff. To provide assistance and maintain knowledge in Infection Control, Quality and risk assessment. Performs other position related duties as assigned. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS

RN license and certification as required by state. Continued education / webinars on infection control and Quality annually.

Ability to complete delegated tasks and assist with the training staff. Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Associate's degree required; Graduate of accredited nursing program. BSRN preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

3+ years as an ambulatory surgical RN.

REQUIRED TRAVEL
