• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week; nights, weekends, and holidays may be required

• Patient Population: Neonates and infants from birth to 1 year of age

Job Requirements

• 2-3 years of neonatal experience in Level III/IV NICU settings
• Current board certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
• Active California Nurse Practitioner license
• California DEA with Schedule II/II-N authorization
• BLS and NRP certifications from AHA
• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification required; no exceptions
• Must complete CMS Medicare and Medicaid enrollment during credentialing
• COVID-19 vaccination with booster required; medical/religious exemptions only
• Ability to provide required onboarding documents promptly for privileging

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality neonatal care as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Take primary responsibility for the safe delivery of care for inpatient newborns and infants
• Support care in a 58-bed Level IV NICU caring for medically complex newborns
• Evaluate, manage, and monitor infants admitted with serious and life-threatening conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, APP colleagues, and support staff to coordinate treatment plans
• Maintain productivity expectations and perform patient care duties within scope
• Work with infants from birth to 1 year of age, with cross-coverage as needed within the unit
