Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher on a full-time contract for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This position is based near Inwood, WV and welcomes both onsite and virtual (VOCO) candidates. With a flexible start in August and June end date, you’ll enjoy a consistent weekly schedule of approximately 35 hours, making this a great opportunity to contribute your expertise in an encouraging environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active West Virginia Teaching License with any special education endorsement (AS, LD, BD, MI)
• Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher in a K-12 setting
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to effectively implement individualized learning strategies
• Comfortable using technology for instruction, particularly for VOCO/remote teaching roles
• Great communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families
• Passion for creating inclusive, adaptable classroom settings for learners with diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of students in alignment with district requirements
• Develop and execute IEPs in collaboration with other educators and therapists
• Track student progress and maintain required documentation
• Adapt teaching approaches and materials to meet student needs across learning and behavioral spectrums
• Participate in virtual or onsite staff meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
