RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct full category management reviews, analyzing business issues and providing insights and recommendations in assortment, pricing, promotion, and shelf presentation to drive results. Work closely with sales team to develop appropriate recommendations and action plans to achieve Hormel and retailer goals. Perform assortment analysis to identify distribution gaps for retailer and recommend closing actions; present findings at category line review meetings. Provide periodic and ad‑hoc reporting, including new items incrementality and volume transfer, market share, modular tests, ROM performance, and internal category reviews. Use Walmart Scintilla to develop performance and strategy insights for the category and brand. Perform competitive and marketplace intelligence, including share gaps, price gaps, and market visits to assess retailer tactics. Support sales team with deep category knowledge, synthesize learnings, and create clear, impactful, unbiased recommendations in visual format. Maintain customer service mindset, manage internal and external relationships, and operate with autonomy to achieve goals. Challenge status quo, embrace technology, propose creative ideas, champion process improvements, and demonstrate good judgment. Provide leadership and training to junior Analysts in Excel, IRi, POS/Panel, Shoppercard, Numerator, HIVE, and category management best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent. 1+ years of sales/marketing/analytics experience. Initiative and strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Team collaboration on complex projects. Well‑developed interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Negotiation skills with customers. Proficiency with IRi data. No current or future need for employer sponsorship. Authorized to work in the United States. Preferred 2+ years of sales/marketing/analytics experience. Knowledge of assortment and shelving strategy. Experience with Walmart Scintilla.

BENEFITS

Comprehensive relocation package to the Rogers, AR area if required. Base pay range $71,075–$115,925 per year. Other components include medical, dental, vision coverage, merit increases, bonuses, profit sharing, 401(k) with match, stock purchase plan, relocation assistance, paid time off, tuition assistance, and more. Travel requirements: 10% of the time.
