Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Progressive Care / Step-Down setting
Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than a standard medical-surgical unit
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with established care plans
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and transitions
Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, limited to areas matching demonstrated competencies
Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements prior to start

Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of recent IMC/PCU/Step-Down experience required
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
Must not be a first-time traveler
Must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible (night shift applicants for this specialty)

Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in a high-acuity progressive care or telemetry environment
Familiarity with floating protocols across multi-campus health systems
Strong adaptability and ability to demonstrate documented competencies across varied unit types
